THE SAVE-A-LOAD STORY

SAVE-A-LOAD HYDRAULIC CARGO BAR was designed by Larry Sweet in 1994. The business he founded is now part of Tramec Sloan LLC, a leading manufacturer and supplier of a diverse range of highly engineered truck and trailer components for the Heavy Duty Commercial Vehicle Industry. All SAVE-A-LOAD cargo bars and accessories are made in their manufacturing facility in Muskegon, Michigan, USA.

Larry Sweet Save-A-Load

Larry Sweet designed SAVE-A-LOAD CARGO BAR to provide truckers and delivery companies with an improved load restraint system that can hold goods securely in place during transport. Existing products often didn’t last, damaged trailer walls and even fell down when trailer walls flexed during transit. He also wanted to develop a system that was easier and safer to use than existing products. After more than a year of testing and development, he introduced the product to the US market in 1994.

In 2016 the business was acquired by Fleet Engineers – A Division of Tramec Sloan. Fleet Engineers designs and manufactures value-added product solutions for Spray Control, Door Systems, Cargo Control and more for the heavy duty commercial vehicle industry. SAVE-A-LOAD CARGO BARS, Cargo Hoops, Accessories and Replacement Parts are part of Fleet Engineers Cargo Control product line manufactured in Muskegon, Michigan.
